Maryann Talia Pau

Maryann is Chief Director and co-founder of Super Native Unlimited. Born in the South Pacific island of Samoa, Maryann’s families are from Lufilufi and Sauano Fagaloa. Maryann grew up in Tāmaki Auckland, Aotearoa New Zealand before her parents migrated to Australia.

Maryann is a practising Pasifika weaver and founder of One Billion Stars (formerly the One Million Stars to End Violence project). 2.4 million woven stars were collected from star weavers around the world for a spectacular installation during the GC2018. Communities continue to weave stars for community connection and solidarity to address local forms of violence.
